anybody have any guesses as to what fujitsu is doing?

I got this in my logs this morning, and I know it's not evil, one of them tracerts to k5.fujitsu.co.jp.

My question is does any body know what they are doing? They can't be putting together a search engine...or are they? Is this just a research bot, like the Java one from IBM?

Anyway, heads up if you haven't seen the little bugger yet....now I'm going to crawl around my own logs, and see what he was peeking at, just to make double sure he's not up to no good.

I would say it is a research bot Hans; however, as big as Fujitsu is, it would be hard to say. I've tried finding other references to the bot, but no hits from any search engines.

Sure the agent name wasn't obfuscated unicode?

Could be, I'm not all that good with unicode...

How would I know if it was?

I would, however, be excited to find some papers on this one. I've yet to read something about a bot from Japan...
