Googlebot IP's

Hi, just a heads up... I was going through our logs and found visits from Googlebot with various different IP's. After looking into this I discovered that Google seems to be using ALL of the following IP's:

64.208.37.1 - 64.208.37.80

We've been spidered by a few of these over the course of the month of November (not Dec. yet).

Isn't Googlebot normally well-behaved? I've been spidered from 64.208.37.58 today, but the UA doesn't match up.

over the past week i've seen .58 come in as

Googlebot/2.1 ( http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)

which is standard by my records.

what UA did you see?

"Search engine crawler" was the UA from the logs.
It didn't grab robots.txt

Googlebot isn't really known for this kind of behavior. I was thinking that either that's not a Google IP, or it was someone with a whole lot more hacking skill than I have.

If it was a Googlebot, that's a new UA for him.
