A search on Chorus/MiX turns up a first result indicting it as a distibuted Unix OS package of some sort.
I haven't ever heard of the eVersion Avenger, though.

Did it check for robots.txt? What else did it do on your site?

Dunno about robots.txt checking... Error logs work for main
site but my host rotates stuff too quickly... cept seemly
just when you want them to rotate because logs be too big
then they seem to leave them for days.. LOL {sigh}

[I don't have a robots.txt setup so calls to it always be
logged in the error.log]

My access log to main site in question be broken I keep
forgetting to get the host to fix it up again... Log often
too big a while back when all the viruses be going about
that I deleted it & a few other sites access & error logs so
could check for my own errors & 404s etc when developing and
trialing some stuff.. not knowing obviously that the host
had some special linkage to them,(non symlinked) and that
meant they stay not there.. lol {sigh}

Anyhow I have this information from a Cgi program I've been
writting for basic visitor tracking information that's
included insided an exit popup off of one of my sites.

Anyhow here's the information:

query_string that gets passed along to all pages &
ultimately to my exit popup that logged it to MySql database.

Yep the anon-proxy. & unknown browser is what got me looking
for more information on this thing... and Google with lack of
it obviously makes me even more curious :)

The exit site that the Cgi captured this information on was
loaded on the 5th March & not been hit again from this user/bot...
yet anyhow.

I won't make mention of shrimps & barbies,
(the non-blonde ones with more than 2 legs) as I think
that'd be too obvious.... Plus I hate shrimp :)

Had a look at their site & this bot thing I think is still somewhat in development & I'm not sure by the things on the page that I found, what exactly they are setting out to accomplish. One thing makes it sound like they want to make a mini google type thing where some sites are cached like google does and other links seem to suggest maybe it's just out scouring the web looking for stories to steal from sites.

[Just for info: I don't have any story sites either]

BTW. Where would one post/request that this forum, BestBBS, that this site is creating should have word-wrapping setup for the edit boxes that we type in to post a message?

- Or is is just me this edit box not like, cuz it's driving me balmy :)
