He thinks there is room for players to aggregate this and expand this information, because search engines canít do it. For the same reason vertical search is so hot. Segmentation is about specialization. SEís inability to [provide a] rich experience across verticals. Understanding a vertical/geo-targeting is critical.
How much opportunity is really avaliable to provide niche local solutions right now for specific industry verticles? I personally think that certain niches, say restaurants, if not already, are going to swept into the uberlocal SEs (Glocal, YLocal, and maybe a few others after the horse race plays out) as the resource for users.
However, do greater opportunities exist for isolated niches where the criteria and variables are not as standard as hours, payment methods, reviews but the need is still at a local level?
I think there are.
