I used to have a shortcut key in the taskbar that allowed me to go the desktop.

I no longer have this option. Is there a way of creating such a beast. well I know there is, i just cant remeber how to do it or frin it.

Any clues?

Cheers

Hello ukgimp

Open Notepad enter following:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save the new file as Show Desktop.scf then drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch bar or whatever location you want the shortcut to appear.

If you're on XP, you can do Start+M for the same effect. Not sure if it works anywhere else.

In XP Start+D works too. It minimizes all the open windows.
