Win xp install propblems on win compatable comp

install quits after "Setup is inspecting your hardware config"

im installing win xp pro on a compatable comp but... when i insert the cd then start the comp everthing starts normialy i see all the post mesages. then it boots of the win cd. first i see "Press any key to boot off cd" so i press the "any" key. :-) after that it says "Setup is inspecting your hardware configeration" as it should. hovever instead of progressing to the next stage (The blue screen and driver loading) my screen goes complety black and stays that way intil i turn the computer off.

i checked my hardware with the "microsoft hcl" and it is all good.

im using:
-2* seagate 80gb sata-150 w/nqc 7200speed 8mb buffer barracuda 7200.7
-geforce mx 4000 128mb memory agp*8
-1Gb dual channle 184-pin ddr-dimm pc2700 memory overclocked to 400mhz
-intel celeron d 335 2.80ghz 256k cach 553 fsb socet 478
- asus p4p800-x

any ideas?

Nevermind i found the propblem. aparently the win xp did not like my the fedora core that was installed on the primary drive. :-0 i switched the position of the fedora core and the former win2003 harddrive in the boot order.
