Microsoft launch Codename Max

Hmm, Microsoft taking the more personal/non formal approach when it comes to writing content. Whatever next.

Max is a photo sharing application along the lines of Flikr and Yahoo's 360. It makes use of the upcoming WinFX technology to create photo galleries that you can share with your friends.

I haven't tried this out yet as it appears to require a powerful machine running XP...and from the looks of it I don't think this one will make it through my corporate firewall. The downside I see here is the requirement for your buddies to have a Passport account and a copy of the Max software installed. The other problem is that Max needs you to be online and connected for the sharing to work. On the plus side you have some very fine control of who can access your photos.
