Office 2003 image display problem

Office 2003 doesn't display images within documents

My dad's computer won't display images within documents. Of course he gets pretty bothered by it. He can't see any images he embeds in his documents, or ones he receives from others. Even in "print preview" nothing shows up. Any ideas? This happens in all the different Office 2003 programs he has.

Oddly enough I have heard about this problem. The cause seems to be the display driver. I would suggest checking for updates to the display adapter:

Control Panel ¦ System ¦ Hardware (tab) ¦ Device Manager (button) ¦ Display adapters

Another possibility is to reduce the hardware acceleration on the display.
