Windows XP troubleshooting help required!

Explorer.exe infected by download.trojan...

Hi,
I'm using WinXP sp1, in which explorer.exe has been infected by download.trojan virus as periodically reported to me by NAV2002 (fully upgraded DEF.)

Can anyone tell me how to restore a copy of the original file?

Additional Info: Explorer.exe strangely tries to access the internet, I noticed that through ZoneAlarm.. everytime I try to open a explorer window such as "My Computer" , "My Documents" and other progs. that uses explorer.exe gets crashed.

Do you have the original Install CD? Boot to dos and extract / copy over the file.

That wont solve your problem. Search for 'download.trojan' there is a lot of information that will help you.
