Roughly 990,000 of the adapters involved in the recall were sold to US consumers, and the rest overseas or to American corporate customers. Other affected adapters were also sold separately.

Good. I hope this costs them a lot of money.

I find they only last about six months on my laptop before the cabling splits and becomes disconected (at the laptop end). Of course, they won't replace them under warranty.
