USB Skype phone.

...very handy but radio problems

Just bought a cheap USB Skype phone. Works well enough and the quality is fine. Problem is I do like listening to music at work and naturally, when plugged in, the sound comes through through the phone. Plugging in / unplugging the Skype phone is a hassle each time somebody wants to contact so is there a simple switch solution I'm overlooking?

In the windows control panel -> sounds and audio -> audio tab, you can specify what to use as your default device. Set it to your sound card, and you will again have music playing out of your normal speakers.

But wait! Doing that means skype will play sound out of your speakers too. To remedy that, in Skype, go to Tools -> Options -> Sound Devices, and set the Audio In & Audio Out to your Skype Phone.

Easy peasy.
