Which new monitor for my web design?

My old CRT monitor after 5 years is beginning to fade, and I need to buy a new one. I wondered if anyone has any advice or tips. I will be using it almost exclusively for web design and coding. What confuses me sometimes is resolutions. I work on a Mac G5 and a 20-inch Formac CRT currently displaying at 1152 X 870 (this is the display that's fading), but I'm thinking of getting a 23-inch TFT display - particularly the HP L2335 which has a resolution of 1920 x 1200. I'm tired of not having enough screen space. But would this monitor be good for web design? I know I should always be aware of the fact that the average screen that my work will ultimately be viewed on will be much smaller, and I can always check my work on other more usual displays. But it's issues like ease of working, and whether using a display like the HP L2335 will give me a good screen for web design. Any help on this subject especially advice on resolutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I also use a G5, I call it my Power Tower, and I've been using the 23-inch flat panel display and I can honestly say it's worth every penny!
