I have the option to upgrade the LCD monitor with a Dell package I'm about to buy.

As standard it comes with a Dell 19" "Flat Panel Monitor", for an extra 100 odd I can "upgrade" that to a a "performance Flat Panel Monitor".

Anyone have experience of the two types, or who bought one and wished they'd upgraded it?

Thanks,

TJ

When I orderd mine I got the option of value flat panel or Ultra sharp - I went with the ultra sharp. I cannot see no differences (we have the value ones at work) at all.

I havent tried this in gaming though just design.

The flat panel with digital and analog inputs (white and blue cables) is a very good option. Do upgrade

Got both types, 19"ers, the more expensive ones are, to my knacked eyes, considerably crisper and sharper.
Plus the higher resolutions, natch.
