Cost effective printer that will churn out online postage stamps

I have a website that ships numerous products per day. We print all our stamps (the ink refills are killing me!). What should I do? Does anyone have a good cost effective machine that can spit out ink-heavy documents (like online postage stamps) with easy?

Have you checked with Pitney-Bowes? They usually have whatever can be considered "cutting-edge" as regards postage printing in-house....

i'm looking more for a printer that can print other documents too. but we use a lot of ink on stamps. if we're going to print so many, we want something that prints them very fast and crisp.
