Best Digital Camera? Cell Phone?

I'm interested to hear what the WW thoughts are on this topic.

Who makes the best cell phones? any models in particular that are preferable for webmasters? internet capability is a must (obviously).

what about digital camera's? any thoughts on the best brand without breaking the bank?

This is quite the broad post. It really depends on what you intend to do with the item. For quick shots w/ a digi camera, I like my 4.2 mega pixel Sony. For fantastic, professional quality pictures I use my digital rebel eos.

As for cell phones, it's what you want to do with them. I like my small slider phone, but HAVE to have my PDA with me all the time in addition to it. I'd love a new Win based smart phone but they aren't practical riding along in my Camelbak when hiking / biking.

I guess it comes down to application and individual tastes.

I'm very fond of my Sharp SH900i phone. It's got a 2.0 megapixel camera built right in...but it's only available in Japan.

I have the Palm Treo 600 and am very satified with it. Yeah, the digital camera part of this question is indeed VERY broad. It depends on how you intend to use the images. I have a Canon Digital Rebel and really like the camera. The Canon 20D is a better, but more expensive alternative. Both of these cameras are geared towards producing high quality prints.

If you are just looking to capture images just for a website, you can get by much less expensively by purchasing a point and shoot digi-cam. Depending on preferences, all the name brands produce good models.

I have a thing for Siemens mobile phones, don't know why but they seem to have a high standard of quality. Right know I just have a cheap Siemens phone as I mainly talk and send text messages.

I also own a Treo which is a really nice device. The problem is that I don't use it as much as I should.

As for cameras I've always liked Nikon midrange digital cameras.

If you are looking for an allrounder the Sony Ericsson 700i is a sweetun'.

Reasonable camera, video recorder, mp3 player, WAP, blue tooth, radio, oh and you can make phone calls on it too ;)

For cameras, I would sugest going with the one from a company that has been making camera's for a long time, Canon, and nikon make very good cameras, and you know it's a company that knows what it's doing, Personally I have a 4 megapixal Kodak, and while it works well, a lot of the time the pictures come out blurry, one word of advice, While cellphone camera's are nice, if you want quality pictures, get a camera. And a word of advice, (and this goes on many things not just cameras) when you go to buy, make sure it hurts a little, don't get it because it's cheaper, only to have it break later, spend the money and get a good quality item.

I think Panasonic, JVC, and Canon are the best. I have each of them and the quality is excellent.

Nikon makes very good cameras aswell.
