block image and flash

does anyone have a solutions on how to block flash animation? dont suggest me flash & pic control, it doesn't work,

It's easy for me. I never installed the flash player.
I can't see FLASH.
For me, it wasn't what was being shown, it was the fact that flash was a waste of time and bandwidth. I visit sites for content, not for cartoons and animation. Flash adds greatly to the overhead - pages take a lot of time to load, it has on occasion crashed computers here and I've seen the processor pegged for minutes, so when I rebuilt my computers, i made sure they couldn't run flash.
Very few serious business sites use it anyway. To me it's one of those "why?" things. Why on earth would I want it? Because I can? Not a good enough reason.
So your answer - don't install the flash player or disable it on your computer if it's already there. I don't miss it a bit.

I would have to agree with the previous post in getting rid of flash but I disagree with it's value. Hold on, scratch that thought. It has value if you are a creater of interstitials that take over your screen. and it has value if you want your logo to spin. don't install the plugin.

I can spin a logo with a GIF, smaller file, and anyone can run it, little overhead....... but once it's spun a bit, anything from there is simply annoying, at least to me........ Spin it a bit, then stop it. I'll get your point!

I know of some low overhead Java applets that will spin things too - then you have something with its own issues there.

For Mozilla browsers, Ted Mielczarek created a nifty extension that blocks Flash and leaves an empty box you can click if you want to play the Flash.
