Hi guys - I have a forum set up on a commercial site (designed to sell) that is aimed at a market (Architects / housebuilders ) which is

a) Extremely time poor
b) Sometimes technically weak - Construction Industry.

I also have competition from other sites around the web which are unbiased, and have higher traffic levels than myself. Is it worth plugging away at the forum trying to create content. The main problem I have as a webmaster for this company is that I dont possess the knowledge to properly seed the forum on a daily basis. I have tried to discuss this with managers within the company to get them to provide me with content. But they haven't been terribly forthcoming with a magnitude of ideas / questions / content.

I feel perhaps my time would be better concentrated in other areas..Ideas / encouragement Welcome. :o(

have patience.

Forum alone will not work for many, just try a good mix. Work on USPs and for retaining use forums (it is very viral in nature).

USP === Unique selling point , or
USP === Unique Starting point, or
USP === Unique standing point, or
USP === Unique sustainability point ....

The key word is something UNIQUE
