I get clicks to site heaps in fact but no registers in forum. What do I do to get them to register. Do I make it you have to signup to view topics or what?

Give them incentives. People coming to your site have probably already registered on dozens, if not hundreds, of other sites. What incentive do they have to register on yours?

Also, verify with rigourous testing that your registration page doesn't have any errors. Have several friends try to register from different computers with different browsers. You'd be surprised at the number of registration pages that were "broken."

Do you want them to register for a reason? If the forum is new, you could try allowing guest posting for a while.

Is the forum fresh-looking? (I.e., all topics have activity today?) Dead-looking forums cause people to hit the Back button.
