I am currently helping to re-furbish a website; we divide it into static content for which I created a website and we will get rid of several small news-sections and concentrage them on a single page which somebody else will then keep up-to-date.

I am thinking about creating it as a blog, since the person maitaining it does not do any webdesign/technology.

A question with respect to SEO: Is it better to create a blog with blogger and then cross-link blog and website a lot or implementing the blog page directly into the website?

If the latter one, what software could I use for that? Thanks,

W.

Since you've got a static component to the website, I'd do the blog there, too. Wordpress is VERY simple to install, and it's free. Lots of themes, too, so you should be able to find something you can modify a bit to match your site layout. Wordpress even has a rudimentary CMS feature to manage static pages, though if you are well along on the static side of things that may not be of much use.

thank you! I saw that blogger allows css and so I'm tempted to use that with exactly the same layout as the one that I use for the static website.
