Right ad network for a forum

How to choose the right ad solution for a board?

Many of you know that text ads, such as adsense or YPN, are not converting much in a forum...
...or at least not on mine :)

Most ad networks such as Tribal Fusion, Valueclick or Burst media do not serve ads on forums unless they are closely monitored (each posts monitored before being posted).

Any alternatives?

Today I stopped using adsense on my in-line advertising space on my forum. I'm now using that space for a text link to a relevant page on my website.

Can anyone share its experience with placing CPM based banner ads in forums?
