why wont anyone join

I've been reading a lot of the posts on here and have tried them on my forum, but no body has joined, there has been people that has viewed the site and board, but no one will join, people are clicking on the poll and stuff, but why wont people join the bored, i would really like some help, and that would be nice

1) Make sure it is easy to join. DO you have a "Join Now" or similar link on every single page?
2) Make absolutely sure that there are no errors on your signup pages. Check your log files- are you getting any errors?
3) Make sure you're not asking for too much information. Do you require a lot fo personal information to join? The more info you ask for, the more likely people will decide not to join.
4) Make sure you have a decent incentive for joining. What do you currently offer as benefits for registering?
5) Make sure you have realistic expectations. How many people are visiting your site every day? Tens? Hundreds? Thousands?
