looking for open source bb with user-updated calendar

I've seen this in phpbb...

I've seen this in phpbb, but when I installed it, there was no calendar option. Is this an add-on, hack, or what? I've written to several phpbb moderators who are using this "option" but none have responded.

Anyone know?

Looks to me like the calendar function is currently a hack for phpBB, though perhaps one of the phpBB experts here can correct me. If you search the web for "phpbb calendar", you'll find some useful references.
