There are a few changes I've noticed since the very first invites where sent out but all that comes to mind right now is the following:
The title now displays how many unread messages you have.

Anyone care to add to that?

The 'don't ask me for two weeks' feature for logging in.

Yeah that was the other big one. Thanks :)

Before they added that there was a cookie by default.
And of course it now works using the latest version of Safari.

I just noticed that signatures are now available. Gmail > Settings > bottom of page - Signature

Yeah, signature was someting I requested, I was wondering why they haven't announced it, then I realized it when I replied a msg...
The signature was always at the very bottom, below the original quoted text, so it was added to the original sender instead of me!

I can't complain after posting it as the main missing feature in a previous post!

It's been in beta for a couple of months. And at Google's pace, i would have expected more improvement. It's still too bare-bones for public release.

And add-in, Yahoo's storage increase to 100mb this summer, folks would be far more reluctant to migrate to gmail.

I just noticed today that you now have the option of either viewing or downloading an attached image. Also it seems to have stopped displaying embedded picture correcty when viewed in the interface.

I don't know. To me, Gmail seems very complete with one glaring exception: HTML-formatted messages get mangled when you forward them, and there is no facility to forward messages as attachments (this would solve the problem.) Yes, it's missing some bells and whistles, but overall, it's rock solid, fast, and very functional. I can now access more of my email information more easily than ever before. If they would just fix the forwarding issue, to me, it would be just about ready for public release. Of course, that's only my opinion...
