Check your computer clock.

If I understand your post you are saying that the dates & times in your incoming e-mails are wrong.

This is a direct result of what you have your computer set at.

Double click the time in your lower tool bar and re-set your computer clock to the right date and time.
This should solve your problem.

If I have misunderstood your post - sorry!

Thanks for your reply Tropical Island!

You understood correctly that the time & Date in the incoming mails are wrong and this doesn't happen everytime. It happened to me twice now.

But I can assure you that the date & time from system are not taken. Even i had the same doubt but when I actually changed the date and time of my system and sent the message from one Gmail id to another the time & date was correct what it should be and not the date & time what i wantedly changed to check this error.

So I am sure that is not the problem.

That is coming from Google Mail Server what they use for Gmail. But there is some problem with dates and Google.
