anyone notice the new gmail ads?

Did anyone else notice the new gmail add scheme? I really don't like it..
the adds move from a sidebar like adsense style to a large block near the bottom of the page that creates a gap between messages and toolbars.. though this is way more visable for those that wish to advertise..

any oppinions?

I like it a lot better. When the ads used to be on the side, I would not be able to view extra-wide emails.
