Last night on the main news on Radio 1 at 5:45pm there was a large segment on how Gmail was very intrusive. It painted a dim picture of Google reading emails for their targeted ads.
Radio 1 coverage is aimed at 16-24 year olds but reaches a lot wider than that.
If you ask me very negative publicity to get a special slot on the news.
Surprisingly, in the people I know, the Radio 1 listeners are quite intelligent on average (obviously not those who phone in, of course!). The daftest are those who listen to advert-packed stations that have a record playlist of three songs...and we complain about repeats on TV...
...I think I'll go and find that bad Gmail review and have a listen.
