6th seed favored over the 1st seed seems odd
Yeah, except when you consider how mid-season injuries can depress the overall record of a VERY good (Steelers) team.
Here in Philly we're sorry last year's potential all PA matchup hasn't worked out yet, but it still gives us an instate team to support.
The only thing that makes me nervous about rooting for the Steelers is that I've rooted for the loosing side in every one of their Super Bowls (mainly because as a kid I really admired Tom Landry & Roger Staubach..)

Except when you look at the (team) talent pool in the NFC, then compare it to the AFC. Not even close.

However, my concern is who will win against the spread. I follow my friend's picks religiously (who's made a living off of sports betting), so I'm still waiting for him to let me know of his pick. <snip>
I went 1-1 last week - nailed Seattle, but lost on the Under to the first game.

That having been stated, I would root against the Steelers if the opposing team was coached by Osama Bin Laden with a team made up entirely of members of the Taliban.
