Just bought a Fujitsu ST5032D Laptop / Tablet

loved the convertible option. Plus, it only weighs 3.5 lbs

Looks like PC Connection has the same thing for $2499 and free shipping. Not a huge savings, but I didn't look very hard.

<added> Found another place with a Google search that has it for $2309.49 including shipping. So what do I think? Looks like a nice unit, but I wouldn't hire you as my fincancial advisor. :) </added>

That's what is wrong in this world...the old Walmart mentality that cheaper is somehow better ;)

lawman,
the starting price is the same as at Fujitsu but I got a few extra things. However, taxes killed me; Fujitsu is registered with NY and it cost me over $200.

added: When adding the extra Ram, getting a smaller hadrive, $50 off Fujitsu coupon, a free 512 MB USB flash drive and Free shipping, I think they ended up being about the same, other than taxes. They have different options too, like smaller screens, indoor-outdoor ones, no bluetooth etc., and each can lower or increase the price

in case anyone else wants to order: notice that Fujitsu has a delay, my shipping day is Feb 3rd and other sites not only could save you on taxes, but might also have it in stock. Just an FYI

let this be a lesson: Pay attention when orderding ;). Unless Fujitsu grants me a reprive, I might get stuck with a $2800 tablet PC since it's a pain to take notes or write term papers on it. This is NOT the covertible one, and I messed up when ordering. I'm hoping to get an RMA and then buy a convertible one.
