Hotmail's junk mail filter is broken

I keep reporting all "Hotmail Member Services" emails as junk, along with adding "support@h..." to the Blocked Sender list ... but to no avail.

I have now begun a systematic _daily_ bug reporting routine by which I contact their support to report this apparent "bug" in their system. :)

Perhaps I should report them for spamming as well? :)

Not that I use Hotmail for anything, except as my IM address. But I find it annoying to get those "new email" notices all the time, since I know it's all junk

Do a search in the hotmail help for `close account`.
You can close your mailaccount at hotmail and still keep using that adres for messenger.
At the same time nobody will be able to email you at that adres.

Saves you some time. :)

That doesn't fix their "bug" though :)

I would read the T's & C's in detail, you probably agreed to all of that fabulous junk in order to get a 'Free' service. If that's so then they would be technically correct in not allowing you to ban that mail (although they should probably suggest you close the account if you try to ban it).

Although if they don't have it in the terms then you are probably correct in saying it's a bug and probably now enters spam territory.

That doesn't fix their "bug" though happy!

Hotmail is one big bug.
The only way to fix that is to take it offline completely and use gmail.
