(I'm not even sure "apprenti" is a real word, that's just the word he used)
Earlier in the show Randal had made a point to say that he should be the "only Apprentice". The strange thing about using the word "only" at that stage is there was no direct hint that Trump was considering hiring both candidates, at least on the show. I think Randal was either tipped off about it or just figured it out from the same subtle hints I figured it out from. Either way it was a pretty sorry move on his part.

Yeah I noticed that too.
I, too, totally had a change of heart about Randall once he did that. He didn't have to give up anything if he decided to recommend Rebecca be hired. He WAS the hired Apprentice. Trump let HIM make the decision. Come on buddy. Rebecca deserved it too. It's not like she was going to steal the project you wanted.
I felt so bad for Rebecca after that. She was shocked, and had to take it all on live TV.
And WHAT was up with Alla and Felicia? What did Rebecca do to piss them off so much? Beat them?
I liked them both so much. They were my picks for the final two from early on.
