We do this on another forum I frequent (actually we have entire threads where not only is the thread title parodied, but all the posts are as well. But better not go down that road :) ).

Hiding a web designer vs. learning yourself.

Attack of the Robots, Spiders, Crawlers.etc [webmasterworld.com]

This new movie staring Brett Tabke is an atrocious B movie flick. The plot just goes on and on about fending off alien invaders. The ending is disappointing as it just leaves us searching for answers elsewhere.

Timotheos: but Attack of the Robots, Spiders, Crawlers, etc. is a successful franchise with sequel 3 about due. The search for answers will continue until ... one is found. I am surprised, however, that the after-market toy and t-shirt franchise possibilities have been neglected.

Am I in the 'sandbox'? [webmasterworld.com]

If you are not at the beach but you are covered in sand ... I suggest digging yourself out with a pooper-scooper and taking a shower ...

The G-threads are too too easy.

To be honest, there are too many newbies around wanting to learn and asking sincere questions who might not understand if they're made fun of in particular.

On the other hand, take something like this:

I went to Wendy's instead of McDonald's and my rankings dropped! [searchengineworld.com]

That's pure parody and everyone involved knew exactly what was being said, but no specifics were pointed out. The point was made without anyone's feelings being hurt.

Lycos Ordered to Tell Web Client Identity [webmasterworld.com]

Guy in charge:
Oi! Mr 4th tier search engine! Tell Firefox who you are!

Lycos:
Firefox, I am Lycos, fear me!

Please forgive me ;)

Hmmm... a Brett Tabke action figure?

Yahoo Pulls Out of Bidding for Stake in AOL? [webmasterworld.com]

"Google representatives plan on installing a new york strip at AOL headquarters while Steve Ballmer is reported to be leaning towards a filet if their bid is successful."

On a different topic, I think BakedJake is only available as one of those helium filled mylar balloons [images.google.com].

Aren't most of the threads in the AdSense forum self parodies? They're mostly about how "my site deserves to make more money and Google instituted SmartPricing to get me and just wait till Yahoo Publishing expands and appreciates me for what I'm worth."

For that matter, an awful lot of the Google forum threads are self parodies about "I'm not as good at SEO as my competitors so I'll blame Google's latest update."

Yeah, they are... The best one (can't find the link sorry) was posted recently (with all my respect to the author).
The title said something like that: "My CTR suddenly dropped!" to find out afterwards it drops from 0.37USD to 0.00 USD.
Whaaa :)

Xmas threads parody :
"Is it OK to place Yahoo adsock next to my Goole adsock on my chimney"
"Can Santa ban me"
