If you ever saw or see him ( on reruns ) play you will see why I say the greatest footballer ..

the man was genius with a football ..

and I don't particularly like football ..( soccer to the "cousins" )..

Sad life in many ways ..but his skill with a ball could take your breath away ..but he was worth watching anytime ..

BBC radio is running a "special" this evening at 11.00pm gmt entitled " Best remembered" ..

A legend!

For those unfamiliar with the man and the myth...

The ultimate laddish tale tells of the night when a waiter delivering champagne to Best's hotel room saw thousands of pounds of casino winnings and the current Miss World both arranged tastefully on the bed.

The scene prompted the legendary question: "Mr Best, where did it all go wrong?"

Another classic...

"I spent 90% of my money on women, drink and fast cars. The rest I wasted," he was often quoted as saying.
