Tis the season for many of us, getting together with family and friends, sharing our bounty. But what do you do about beverages? If you're tired of the standard fare of beer, soda, coffee/tea, water or turkey-and-gravy flavored soda then take heart, there is something new for you this year.

For beverage connoisseurs tired of turkey-and-gravy or green-beans-and-casserole-flavored sodas, there's a new choice being offered this year by specialty U.S. soda manufacturer Jones Soda Co.: salmon.

eeew.
that's gross.

that sounds like something akin to Bertie Bott's Every-flavour Beans.

instead,
try brewing up some Wassail [cdkitchen.com].
(the link above is similar to the recipe I use, but I do not add eggs)

it's easy, yummy, and its spirit-lifting potential is up to you, it just depends how much sherry you want to add.

I can think of no better festive drink than a "Rusty Nail", which is an equal measure of Scotch and Drambuie (or Glayva).

Wonderful!
