From the sound of it there is a worldwide shortage of the herb that is the main feedstock. Therefore, the spammers have nothing to push, and most have better sense than to sell stuff and not deliver-that gets the Feds right on you. Spamming seems to be prevalent where there are a large number (glut) of vendors for a niche-y but profitable product. The asian flu issue should make tami-everything a household name this year, putting it well in the commodity category. When the national drugstore chains resort to spam advertising, I'll give up email.
