Good point. I've no doubt that the recent dark fibre purchase could be used for a lot of things - distributed computing included.

But to get it on the users desktop, you still need ultra-fast broadband going into the users home.

These pictures look like fakes to me.

However, I agree with Brett on this one. An Internet powered OS is most likely the next leap in home computing, and Google are in the best position to deliver it.

The forthcoming version of Windows Vista will come in 2 categories i.e. Home and Business. Under the Home category, Microsoft will release 4 product editions; Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, Windows Vista Home Basic Edition and Windows Vista Starter Edition.
