Body feels a bit worn out.
50 IS old. Closing in on "retirement age", which with increasing federal budget deficits, is an age that likely will keep moving off into the distance, 68, 70, 7? Does that trend mean that I'm getting younger?
Whoopee! Got married when I was 21 because I figured with the hard drinking, out all night life I was leading I'd never make it past 30 if I didn't change my ways.
My folks are 80 and still going strong. Hope I got their genes. Go mom! Go dad!
Whoopee! I made it to 50!
Now it's time to slide down the other side. ;)
I'm old and I'm happy. Amen.
I have neither nor do many of my friends, to me it seems odd that people get married so young, most were still in their teens.
As you can imagine its caused a bit of generational friction.
Is this, marrying young, quite common?
Sounds like a daft question but I bet many people over a certain age (50) maried at a younger age than many today, or am I just kidding myself.....
I'm 24 now and have gotten used to my new reality . . . and actually it's not so bad after all. I've settled into a decent exercise routine and I'm in good physical shape - and now I'm no longer living on the verge of breaking my back, neck, or other sundry parts on a daily basis. Taken as a whole, life now is every bit as good as it was before, and considerably safer and more comfortable.
On second thought, go get me a rocker, sonny. After re-reading what I just wrote, I feel a little fragile. ;)
