Sorry for not giving the usual 24 hrs warning, my daughter is here from London, with her boyfriend and I have been catching up with them for a day or two...

So here is the gizmo:

What is this? [javea24hrs.com]
Please post an image link and state it's use.

Mmmmm, breakfast! Would it be used to make something which is edible?

LOL, a clue wood help, huh? Thought I'd string you along a little.

Yummy food aside, I don't think this gizmo wood have anything to do with food.

LOL, I warned you all LisaB was on the case :)

BTW, there are other clues ;)
More to the item(s) made using this gizmo than to the gizmo itself.

now I'm thinking along different lines... pushing food thoughts away...away... away

This gizmo makes other gizmos.
This gizmo uses 120 VAC.
Older models of this gizmo may have used charcoal for a heat source.
The gizmos made require some heat in the manufacture process.

Is it a candle maker?

Going back to grandpa's msg6, the gizmos created with the help of this gizmo do, most certainly, vibrate and, to my way of thinking, improve the environment we live in.

Other clues of interest are:
msg 18
msg 30 2clues
msg 32

... Craft, Wood, String, Vibration...

I wish I could find the pic. Some sort of tuner or noise making thing-a-ma-bob.

Who mentioned charcoal? I dunno, it must be in the other GC I'm doing... yeah, that's it, the other one....

That is what is made using this gizmo to help.

As far as I recall many forum members have the resulting gizmo in some form or another.

I gotta go out in 5 minutes, be back in an hour or two.
I have to pick up one of the gizmos made using the gizmo in question, as it happens.

[metmusic.com...]

It is a bending iron.

I recognized it immediately, but it took awhile to get the right search to find it.

Lutiers use it to bend the sides of instruments into shape.

Hot coals, eh?
Then I would assume that the metal mass on top of the box gets hot, the dial controlling the amount of heat.

But, what does it do?

Well folks, a conflict has come up for this coming Saturday and I will not be available to host the gizmo quiz. Is there anyone that would like to step into my spot?
