We've got lots of 'em.
It's been awhile since I got out the hose, put on the "rain head" sprayer, and just walked the yard delivering what plants need so badly right now.
I forgot how relaxing watering the flowers can be.
Plus, they look great (appearance of yard improves).
Seems I can't find the time to go fishing. I've been missing having "something to do that isn't really doing something". This works. I've done 3 times in the past 10 days. About 20-30 minutes of "work".
Any other perfect excuses for doing nothing I may have forgotten? It's like a mini-vacation. I get the heck away from my PC, get off my butt, get some fresh air and sun, . . .
Perfect. Watering the flowers. ;0) ;0) ;0)
Funny how the days where you "don't do a damn thing" are some of the best feeling days or some that I most remember, like days spent fishing with family or a friend.
I find fishing affords a chance to speak with another human being unlike most other activities. Even if the speaking isn't about matters of consequence the conversations have the touch of intimacy.
Time to put the finishing touches on my boat, the one that I've been restoring - but not using - for 3 years, which is at least 2 years too long to not use it.
