Under Russian law, spamming is not considered illegal, although lawmakers are working on legal projects that could protect Russian Internet users like they do in Europe and the US.

Somebody please remind me how we here in the U.S. are protected.

Sounds like someone didn't pay his protection money.

but Mr Kushnir remained sure of his right to spam, saying it was what emails were for.

I guess someone else felt sure that they knew what a baseball bat (or some other blunt, heavy object) was for.

Is there any evidence that his murder was a result of someone resenting the spam he sent?

And, has anyone noticed a reduction of spam since this occurred?

Moscow police are looking for a group of Vikings who apparently sang the SPAM song as they beat him.

Okay so this post is in bad taste - ;0))

But I have seen a drop in spam emails selling "Viagraski" lately.

That'll teach him! I wonder if he ever sold baseball bats via spam?

Aussies prosecute first 'spammer,'
the first alleged spammer under its new-ish Spam Act.

[theregister.co.uk...]

and on another note...

I placed my vehicle last week on a site... and boom... the 419 Nigerian scammers are foresting emails from there and well...

I doubt if this is new to most of you... but the foresting of emails from "ads" caught my attention, along with how quickly the email came in from the new email account I set up to sell the vehicle. Less than a week turn around scam from placement of ad.
