Humor on an otherwise sad, tragic day

You know, it's been a pretty sad, painful day and the madness of certain people is horrific. That said, thank you all for this little distraction, this little bit of normal lunacy - this business of talking about cats and dogs and birds.

I evidence my opposition to the evil behind these attacks, in part - probably like most of you - by keeping a commitment to allowing life to continue at its pace.

No disrespect is intended by keeping the "cats thread", this bit of levity, alive. All and only respect is intended by keeping it alive.

Whilst my heart goes out to those who lost people and who suffered injury I have to say to those who would do such evil: "I refuse to be made less, to live less or to be bent and shaped by your actions. Today I choose to honor those directly hurt by living my life as I would otherwise, but for your villanous wrongdoings."

Forgive my levity in perpetuating the thread on a day like today, but to me it is an act of defiance and an assertion that life, and decency, and humanity will prevail. We will honor and mourn the dead and aid those who need it, but we will NOT be made less or live less for one minute for fear of evil.

Terror will hold no sway over me. I shed a tear for those who suffered loss, but I will also hear laughter and life affirming sounds today.

Amen.

Agree...

My most sincere condolences to any/all affected by such a barbaric and cowardly attack.

Humour can be a grateful escape in an otherwise sad da¡y, webwork.

The other traditional escape is a cup of tea. :)
