SCIENTISTS have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in attempts to develop suspended animation for humans.

I believe what makes the article sound like a joke is the choice of picture they made.

It's quite subjective and it discredits the article to the point some believe its a joke.

They should have picked this one [abacus-referencement.com].

It took them 65 years to perfect the method used by the Soviets:

Yes, but will the revived human body have a soul?

As with the dogs, I think its best to let sleeping dogs lie :)

As far as human research in the USA, good luck. If you can't do stem cell research, I expect walking zombies won't go over to well either :)

C'mon Ign1, it's a military research program!

"Sorry John, you died by 'friendly fire' last week, but you're fine now. We drained all your blood and replaced it with cooland untill we moved you to the proper medical facilities to fix you up. Did you have a nice vacation in heaven?"

Well,

I am re-animated every morning after filling my veins with and ice cold vodka solution the night before - does that count?

For example, exsanguination to cardiac arrest from penetrating injury to chest or abdomen, with inability to control the hemorrhage in the field (e.g., combat casualties)

I read this as a valid point, but only if she broke your heart after spending all of your money.

Wow, I wonder how much that procedure will cost.

And do you lose memory?

First scientific results are still not quite conclusive [lsxtra.co.uk] about this.

Are you sure it isn't a hoax?
I agree, they should have used a different doggie pic.
That all just seems unreal though...
But, I guess with all the modern medical technology and advances anything's possible...or will be.
