I just got the most touching e-mail from a woman who wants to offer me 20% of $15,000,000, just for allowing her and her son to use my bank account to transfer the entire sum to "my country or any other safe place." (I suppose I'm not to be too very surprised if I find that my own money has gone to a "safe place" first?) This woman's husband, it seems, was murdered by political rebels, and now his family needs to do something with his money . . . the usual story.

But the part that really got me with this one was one of the last sentences:

<snip>

Made my day - I know they're referring to the money, but written that way it sounds like the poor fellow met his end inside the trunks!

You never know... maybe his body was dismembered and the pieces stored in metal trunks...

(it HAS been known)

Ever seen the movie Clue?

"... he's threatened to kill me in public."

"Why would he want to kill you in public?"

"I think she meant he threatened, in public, to kill her."

"Oh."

I'd be tempted to reply "I'd really like to help, but if you transfer 15 million to my bank account, IRS is going to try to hit me up for 45%".
