Had a Dell UltraSharp 15" LCD. Just got a KDS 19" LCD. Amazing.

What's the price difference between 17" and 19" LCD now?

If you've not thrown away your old LCD screen, invest in a dual head card and get two windows into the webworld.

Nice :-) I've been itching to go to TFT - just waiting for 17" to cut under the £100 ($180) mark.

pmac, tsk tsk tsk! ;)

shri just made an excellent suggestion. Keep the old one for all those palettes, tickers and blinkers that get in the way.

Most of us work with multiple screens around here. Even the ones using those monsters [apple.com], use a "tiny" 20 incher on the side.

Your productivity will increase, cause you'll have no more space to look trough the window on the real world. :)

Forget more space to look through, you could climb into the internet through one of those monsters.

I have 2 monitors (15in and 17in).. been trying to talk the boss into allowing me to get 3. I think we have an extra 17 flatscreen floating around here after it's previose owner became employment impaired.

Just think how you could increase your productivity with this screen:

HEyewall: 221", 18 Megapixel (6144 x 3072 pixel) resolution

[heyewall.de...]

Thought about buying one but then decided against it. Couldn't get it into my car...

Whoa! I need to ban this site from beeing seen in the office. If someone in the graphic designer team see it, they will all want one.

Huh? Forgive my ignorance, but how does this work?

Hi RossWal,

it's pretty simple, you buy a GFX card to run 2 or more monitors at once. You just plug the monitors in the card so you can operate both at once. You keep the main work window on the bigger screen and shove the gizmos (mail, palettes, instant messagers, virtual staplers, etc. ) aside.

It's just like a desktop on many screens.
