I have had a Geocities site and accompanying Yahoo mail account for over 6 years. The other day, I received a Yahoo Messenger Message from someone with whom I had only interacted a couple of times and then blocked from e-mail I found them a bit bizarre. Out of curiosity to see if my suspicions were right I visited the site to see the content. When I went to the site, I received the message "You must log in to view page". Well I did that and there was hardly anything on the screen after that. I thought I had a glitch in my browser. The day after that, I couldn't get into my account. I contacted Yahoo and it seems that all the identifying information such as the secret question has been changed. Surely I am not the only person who has had this happen. Any suggestions?
Do you have a copy of your website on your own computer? The cheaters may change your website completely if they have not already done.
I looked around a bit on Geocities, and this is your best bet to get your problem resolved (assuming you are in the US): http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/security/cgi_feedback
You might want to browse their Account Security [help.yahoo.com] pages beforehand. Good luck.
