But what about him? Is the marriage still on? Would he still marry her?
It's only speculation since that side of the story is still unknown. What would you do?
Me... I'd have think real hard again about marrying this gal.
and as a lame effort to keep this topic good for Foo, the police took 3 computers from the house.
<add>Personally, I'd rather get the computers back.</add>
Yeah, I sense some communication problems there. Wait till the first time she sees Romeo taking out the trash.
BUT, to have LIED to police and said she was kidnapped in an attempt to...I dunno...make her fiance and family believe that there was some legitimate reason why she was gone for so long without contact, is ridiculous. My goodness, be a big girl and have the cajones to say, "I screwed up. Sorry. I shoulda called or something but I didn't. My bad." That level of immaturity is what would make me, if I was her fiance, totally hang her out to dry. There is no excuse for what she did. She is thirtysomething years old. An adult. In theory, anyhow. HOW peurile.
Both of these people (bride and groom) seem to be driven by a history and social status not of their own making, they just happened to be born into it. The aside issues of this story make interesting fodder. Will she be charged with a crime or be made to make restitition for the efforts to locate her? Has the GBI scoured this fellows computers and discovered his heretofore secret porn stash? Will the local restaurant pull their special of the day? (Cut angel hair pasta and a fishy entree)
I'm speculating that both would be happier with someone else.
. . . just think about how your girlfriend would react if you said you were going to marry a guy. ;)
I would be more concerned to discover
. . . be a big girl and have the cajones . . .
I'm fascinated with how much media this has received though, we're not talking about children saved from wells or pop stars with illegal preferences, just a flaky woman who flew the coop. It's the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich all over again. :-)

Point 1 : I believe his Dad is well connected in town and so raised the flag early. And loudly.
Point 2 : CNN is based in Atlanta. Duluth is a suburb. Makes for an "easy" story.
Point 3 : If CNN has a story, how can other networks not participate? Especially after Scott Peterson story became such a media event.

Still feel sorry for everyone involved. The whole deal became too much --> something like 600 guests (!) coming and double-digit bridesmaids (!)? It's a good precautionary to throw out if people start trying to make your wedding day an extravaganza.
