Police were alerted to a man's body laying along the Trans Canada Highway in the predawn darkness only to discover he was "quite alive," but that his car had run out of gas and he "wanted to attract someone's attention."

the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Burnaby, British Columbia...

Serious, in British Columbia? I expected something like that to happen someplace else in Canada [aroundthebay.ca].

LOL, good stuff!

ROFLMAO! That would be one of those rare times where a name change would be recommended :)

Ok, I got more info about the guy. He is my cousin Dick, he just called me to tell there is an article about him in the papers. He was so excited!
He was touring near Vancouver when his car ran out of gas. He his from Newfoundland.

Here is his story.

His father was born in this town [townofwoodypoint.ca] and his mom was from there [cowhead.k12.nf.ca]. They met in the Provincial Park [env.gov.nl.ca], fell in love and got married in this town [centralnewfoundland.com]. They travelled here [portfocus.com] for the honey moon trip. They bought a house here [bigthings.ca]. Nine months later, she got strange abdominal pains and was brought the nearest hospital in this town [nfcap.nf.ca] where my cousin was born.

So you guys never heard of Newfoundland before, he? Nice places to visit on this rock.

reminds me of a time when I was kid about 11 - 12 I think, I ha mate whose who was nuts. He'd do anything for a laugh.

So one night we suggested he lay down in teh middle of a busy road.

This carcame screeeching to halt with teh driver jumping out in a panic, 'you alright, you alright' Anyhow he just got up and ran off.

Boy did we laugh at one. Looking back now I can see how dam dangerous it was.

Hey - lying on the road isn't dumb. It works. I learned that trick growing up here [all-oregon.com].

I went to school here [officialcitysites.org] and got a job here [parr.com]. I met my wife here [800padutch.com].

Now I restrict my road relaxation to parks, like
this one [state.ky.us] and this one [users.aristotle.net].

I bought one of those tape playing things at Canadian Tire, but my igloo has nowhere to plug it in.

Hey - you're from Québec.
Do you know Celine Dion?
