pyapal - i am unable to make payment through it

Hi everyone,

I am from India.

I have a valid VISA credit card.

I wish to make purchase of a particular software from a USA website.

The particluar USA website only accepts payment through paypal.

So i tried to make payment through paypal by visiting link on USA website.

But when clicked on link it says i need to register first on paypal.

i registered with paypal.

But then spending limit is $ 0 inspite of the fact that i have added my credit card.

I am as a result unable to understand what I am doing wrong or missing.

Can some good soul be kind enough to explain in simple plain english why i am not able to make payment.

I don't think we can really advice you correctly on this because we do not know Paypals side of the story. I think your best bet is to contact Paypal directly and ask then to explain the situation to you.

i did email them but have not heard from them so far anything and the seller only uses paypal to accept payments....

Hi,

Paypal wont just take money off your credit card, you have to specify an amount to be transfered from your card to your paypal account (it works kinda like a bank account)..I'm guessing paypal showed you had $0 becuase you have not transfered any funds there yet....

Usually for a credit card payment you can pay directly from the card; you do not need to transfer money to your balance first.

If your Sending Limit is $0, there may be additional verification steps required before you can make a payment. To view the requirements, log in to your PayPal account and click the "View Limits" link next to the balance box.
