This is pretty funny...

I was at a convention in Las Vegas this past week and checked out of the hotel early on the last day so I could spend the day sight seeing before catching the red-eye flight back home.

Of course you can't leave your laptop with the bell boy at the hotel, so I took it with me.

Then, we went to the Stratosphere and figured I could trade off with my wife so we could ride the coaster, but they told us that there was room to keep our stuff with us on the coaster, so I took my laptop with me on the Highroller.

How big of a geek do you have to be to ride a rollercoaster with your laptop? Do I win a prize? ;o)

If you have to ask you ain't a geek :-)

Do I win a prize? ;o)

Only if you actually used the laptop to work while riding.

Did you check to see if they had Wi-Fi service while you were upside down?

C'mon! Geeks know Wi-Fi doesn't work when you are inverted . . . :)

The coaster on the Srat sucks, but the big shot on the top is a ride.

I agree, but you don't know it sucks until you have already paid to get up there.

At least they let you go around twice. ;o)

Maybe I'll see if I can get on the Hulk at Universal's Islands of Adventure with it...

(then go out and buy a replacement)

Aha, but it does.. have you never suspended a laptop upside down to use in the bath whilst lying down?

Nooo.....

This thread is likely to inspire a whole new era in laptop advertising, akin to the old Timex commercials.

I travel a lot, and when I was doing my Computing HND I had to reach deadlines with my assignments.

So I had to lug my laptop wherever I went.

I took it with me to Norway, Germany (twice), New York (on Concorde!) and it crossed the Atlantic with me on the Maiden Voyage of the Cunard ocean liner "Queen Mary 2"

:-)

I know Wi-Fi works at any angle, but taking a bath with your laptop? That is super geeky. And might I add a lot more risky than taking it on a coster.
