This is great news for my hobby site and I'm very happy, but I have ran into a problem. Back when I was making very little a month, the wife never took notice of my earnings. This gave me a nice stash of cash to blow on geeky things, like a new version of photoshop and a digital camera.
However, now my adsense earnings have risen to a point that is has been detected by my wife's monetary radar. Now my March check has already been alotted towards boring stuff like graduate school applications ($100 a pop... sheesh...).
I'm itching to buy a new laptop with my March check, but it would be hard to get it past the wife. Arrrgghh, the curse of success...

I'm disappointed in your odd, after enjoying some of your other posts I figured you weren't so low as to flamebait a new member...
Tell her you need the money in order to make more money. If things go as planned, dividing it up won't be such a problem.

Also, she's now looking for a topic to start her own little money maker :)
Encourage that. She'll have an expert helping her (you're making money... so I'll call you an expert).
She'll do it or not. If she doesn't do it, she'll at least have an appreciation for the work/knowledege that makes the money.

Yet it amazes me, if I'm in town bogged down with shopping bags and meet someone we know, when they smile and nod at my husband and say "Ah... is she spending all your money again?"
To which I reply "No, actually. I'm spending all MY money!"
