What was your first computer?

Mine was a Tandy 1000... it had 2MB of ram, the OS was a graphical version of DOS.
My family won it at a sweepstakes at Radio Shack.

TRS-80 closely followed by a VIC 20.

First "proper" computer I ever played with was a DEC PDP-11.

My dad is an IBM vet, & there were computers in our basement since infancy... the first ones I remember were the IBM PC AT, IBM PC XT, and the short-lived "portable" IBM PCjr.

There may have been others before those. I do remember green monochrome screens, dot matrix printers and a strange "plotter" with interchangeable multicolored pens. We had stacks of "discarded" (ha ha) punch cards around that we used for crayon scribbling and phone messages

Basically my first computers were all the stuff IBM made three decades ago

My first comp used: Commodore Pet - The high school owned many of them and was daring enough to let the students take them home on weekends for a 2 or 3 dollar fee....

first one owned: a Timex Sinclair... what an awful computer.

Learned to program on the good old BBC basic at my school.

My first PC was a P1 200Mhz, 32Mb RAM, Win95 (Days off of Win98!).

I had some sort of a Lynx thing given to me, but I was about seven and used once before I got bored. First one I actually used consistently was my parents PII266 with Win98 (just after 98 came out). The first computer that was *mine* was a trayloading raspberry iMac G3.

Well, the first computer i owned was a Sinclair ZX-80 but I now have a lot of oldies. Worth of mention:
- Olivetti Programma 101 (launched 1965)
- Intel 4004-based SBC
